Solihull Driving Instructors

The large town of Solihull is situated in the east of Birmingham, it a has a population of just over 210,000 and is renowned for its extensive shopping and leisure facilities. Solihull is home to the Touchwood shopping centre which has over 100 stores and restaurants spread over its 650,000 square feet. In addition this, Solihull is also home to the Genting arena, which also hosts a number of shops, restaurants and also a casino. Solihull has excellent transport links across the city and is only a short 20 minute drive into Birmingham City Centre.

Solihull has a lot to offer learner drivers, with quite rural villages for those just starting out and learning ropes to large and complex traffic systems for those who are getting ready to take their test. There are two test centres within the Solihull area for learners to use. The Shirley test centre is located, in Shirley on the Stratford Road and the Birmingham South Yardley Driving Test Centre is located on Clay lane in South Yardley. Before booking your practical test you must have first completed your theory test. There is no longer a theory test centre within Solihull although the Pearson Vue Test Centre in Birmingham City centre is not too far away and is easily accessed by public transport.

Don`t forgot to get some revision in before taking your theory test. You are marked out of 50 and must answer 43 questions correctly to pass, they are multiple choice questions and with adequate revision you should be fine! In addition there is also the hazard perception test, which measures your ability to identify risks when driving, again with adequate revision you should be fine.
